We offer a range of payment methods to suit our patients’ convenience. Whether you’re paying for insured or private treatment, you can use any of the payment methods below.

You can pay in cash at the reception desk. We’ll give you a receipt and an itemized statement of treatment.

How to pay by credit card

one-time payment only. If you’d like to pay in installments, please pay in full first, then contact your card company directly to arrange the switch to installments.

For costly private treatment, we recommend using a dental loan, which has a lower interest rate than paying by credit card in installments.

E-money

You can use a range of e-money, including transit IC cards, iD, QUICPay, Rakuten Edy, nanaco, and WAON.

About dental loans

For private treatment that costs a lot, such as dental implants or orthodontic treatment, you can use a dental loan.

A dental loan is a system where a financial institution pays your dental treatment cost on your behalf, and you then repay the financial institution in installments.

Benefits of a dental loan

1. Lower interest than paying by credit card in installments

The interest rate on a dental loan is around 3.9% per year. Compared with paying by credit card in installments (around 12-15% per year), this keeps the interest burden lower.

2. Lower monthly payments

You can split payments over up to 120 installments (10 years). You can pay from around ¥5,000 a month, at a level that’s manageable for you.

3. Choose the right treatment without worrying about the cost

You don’t need to give up on treatment just because “it costs a lot.” You can choose the treatment that’s right for you and restore the health of your mouth.

4. Eligible for the medical expense deduction

Treatment costs paid through a dental loan are also eligible for the medical expense deduction.

About the medical expense deduction

If the medical expenses you pay in a year (January 1 to December 31) exceed ¥100,000, you can receive an income tax deduction by filing a tax return.

How the medical expense deduction is calculated

Medical expense deduction = total medical expenses − amount reimbursed by insurance, etc. − ¥100,000 (or 5% of total income)

* The medical expense deduction is capped at ¥2,000,000.

Dental treatment eligible for the medical expense deduction

• Insured treatment, such as cavity treatment or periodontal treatment
• Ceramic treatment not covered by insurance
• Dental implant treatment
• Orthodontic treatment (when the purpose is to improve function)
• Medication needed for treatment
• Transportation costs for visiting the clinic (public transportation)

What is not eligible for the medical expense deduction

• Whitening for cosmetic purposes
• Cleaning for preventive purposes
• Orthodontic treatment for appearance only
• Gas and parking costs for your own car

What you need for the medical expense deduction

To receive the medical expense deduction, you need your medical expense receipts, a medical expense deduction statement, a withholding tax statement (for salaried employees), and a tax return.

How to claim the medical expense deduction

When filing your tax return, attach the medical expense deduction statement and submit it to the tax office. For details, please contact your local tax office or a tax accountant.

About receipts and itemized statements

An itemized statement records, in detail, the treatment provided and the materials used. To keep our treatment transparent, we issue an itemized statement to every patient.

However, as a rule, we do not reissue receipts. Since you can also use it when claiming the medical expense deduction, please keep it in a safe place.
